What is Chiropractic?

Chiropractic is a natural, non-invasive form of healthcare that respects the body’s innate ability to heal itself. Life has many ways of interfering with optimal health and function. The goal of Chiropractic is to assist the body in regaining optimal function by allowing the nerve system to work to the best of its ability. The nerve system is the master system. It controls and coordinates every cell, muscle and tissue. Every process of your body from digesting your food to regulating your blood pressure is all controlled by your nerve system. Chiropractors are specially trained to locate and correct blockages commonly caused by tiny misalignments of the structural system (the spine and extremities). These blockages are called subluxations. Subluxations interfere with the communication between your brain and your body (the nerve system) and prevent the body from functioning optimally.

Everyone suffers from stress and we can all benefit from gentle spinal adjustments. As we adapt to these stressors in our life and body, we don’t even realize it until we are sick or injured. The release of tension in the spine calms down the stress in the body and allows ease to be predominant from the inside out.

We get stiff and tight from chronic tension and stress, and as we age, this tension begins to interfere with our natural ability to heal and experience life fully.
