Congratulations!!! A new pregnancy is a wonderful time, full of promise and hope for a healthy baby and mom. Here at WWCC nothing is more important to us than your health and the health of your baby. We also want to help make this time as stress-free as possible by being with you every step of the way. To help in achieving this, we offer first trimester genetic screening thru NTD labs, which offers the earliest assurance of a normal pregnancy with results at 12 weeks gestation regarding the risk of Down’s Syndrome as well as the other 2 most common types of chromosomal abnormalities, Trisomy 13 and 18. Also we have in-office ultrasound with a registered ultrasonographer available 5 days a week. Ultrasound is an invaluable tool in obstetrics and again can offer reassurance when it is needed.
Dr Rainville delivers at MMC in the new “East Tower” for maternity and newborn services. It offers a beautiful, comfortable setting with completely private rooms. And although you or your baby will never need any specialized care, it is comforting to know that all that modern medicine has to offer is just a phone call/seconds away….. Dr Rainville strives to deliver all her patients if possible; however everyone needs some time off and so she shares call with Dr Robert Sansonetti, another well-established and respected OB/GYN physician who shares her same philosophy of patient centered, individual care. He is always more than happy to meet with you at any time during your pregnancy if you desire
If you need to have your baby by cesarean section, Dr Rainville will be able to safely take care of you through this as well. She also has made it a priority to help you have the least noticeable scar; over the many years of practice, she has found a skin closure technique that seems to be best for this.
