On your first visit, you will have an opportunity to explore with Dr. Cantrell your goals of care and learn how Chiropractic can work for you in your life.
After completing your health questionnaire, the doctor will go over with you your case history, followed by an examination of your posture, a nerve system evaluation and a palpatory exam of your spine. The nerve system evaluation is composed of two non-invasive scans that are safe to use in pregnancy. During these scans a half gown is worn that exposes the spine while the bottom half remains fully clothed.
At the discretion of the doctor, a gentle adjustment of the spine may or may not be given and x-rays may be requested in patients that are not pregnant.
When you complete your initial appointment, you will need to set up a Report of Findings, so that the doctor can report to you what she has found in the exam and initial consultation. She will create an initial care plan to meet your specific needs.
