Christine Whittier, LMT, LCA, Birthing Coach

Christine is a Licensed Massage Therapist, Licensed Chiropractic Assistant and Birthing Coach. While attending Spa Tech in 2006, Christine found her passion after learning the massage modalities of pregnancy, labor and infancy massage. In 2008 Christine attended the Doula course at Birth Roots in Portland to further her education in the emotional and physical support of labor. Christine enjoys collaborating with health care providers on the effects of massage and chiropractic care together. Her passion is working with women throughout pregnancy, labor and postpartum. She enjoys teaching new parents the benefits of infant massage as well.

Christine has worked within four of the major hospitals in Southern Maine. Her goal with every birth she attends is to stay focused on continuous support throughout the labor process, which she believes every woman/couple should receive during such an exciting and challenging time in life. Often times nurses and doctors cannot give the full emotional and physical support patients need during labor, and a birthing coach can help to provide that care. From low risk to high risk labors, Christine firmly believes in consistent support for both parents throughout the labor. She has immense passion for what she does and would be a great asset to your birth experience.
